Happy Love Day!

Since you guys already know that I love you, I thought I'd just share a few other thoughts about love...
" Now hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

" Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind. Love does not envy. Love does not parade itself. It is not proud, is not rude, does not seek its own, is not provoked, and thinks no evil. Love does not rejoice in iniquity but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will fail; where there are tongues, they will cease; where there is knowledge, it will pass away... For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I am also known. And now these three abide, faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. "

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

Love and sweet blessings,

Melissa

I love this - I need to hear a good reminder like this every now and then. I like that you've quoted so many passages together but haven't stopped the flow to put the references in. Knowing where they come from is great, but knowing what they say is much, much more important. I think this is perfect. Rock on!
