Tu eres TODO PODEROSO!

Eres grande y majestuoso! Eres fuerte, invincible, y no hay nadie como Tu!

Hola todos! As you can probably tell, I am SO EXCITED about my missions trip to Tijuana! I found out today that I'm on one of the worship teams for the trip, and we got to practice some music together. Man, I don't know what it is about worshipping in another language but it is POWERFUL! I guess it's that it just opens up a whole new realm of ways to praise the Lord... in Spanish, they don't use the same worship "catch-phrases" and descriptions that we do, so it introduces totally new pictures and concepts of praise to the Lord. I love it! And wow, we got to hear a ton of testimonies from people who have been on Bethel trips to TJ before, and I was stunned. The more I hear about all the crazy miracles and encounters God has brought to these trips, the more my faith and expectation increases. I KNOW I'm going to be stretched on this trip, that I'm going to be stepping out in faith like I never have before, and I'm SO thrilled for that... It's really been a longing of my heart lately to just break free from all fear. Fear of man, fear of failure, fear of rejection... any of that that still remains in me is just hindering me from all that God intends to do through my life, and it frustrates me to no end that my fear and hesitation keeps Jesus from getting all the glory He deserves. So I was flipping through the past entries of my journal this morning and happened on an awesome revelation. How do I break free from fear? "By action. I must deny it by action. By stepping out in an action of faith that is contrary to that spirit..." That's exactly it! To break free from my fears I must step out in FAITH and BOLDNESS into the very areas that provoke me to become fearful! By acting in the opposite spirit, a spirit of trust and confidence in the Lord, those hindrances can be broken. And I'm SURE that this trip to Mexico will put me in situations that would normally make me fearful :). I'll certainly be translating like crazy, not to mention having to pray and prophesy and preach in Spanish. That'll will definitely be a challenge! But I'm more excited than anything else because I know that God will bring MAJOR breakthroughs during that week, and we'll all come back living out of new and higher levels in Him!

Anyway, just wanted to share that with you all! PLEASE be praying in advance for my missions trip, for God's presence and power to go before us even now, and to cover Tijuana and prepare the city for radical miracles, healing, and salvation! Also that God would continue to stir up anticipation and faith in our team, and draw us together in unity as we prepare for worship, kids ministry, drama, prophetic arts and preaching.

Thanks! I'll keep you guys posted!

Be blessed and accelerated into higher levels with Him,

Melissa

That's a great insight on fear. I think we all face fear a lot and no one has quite the same perception. It's really helpful to hear insights from other people - thanks for sharing!

It sounds like your trip is going to be fun! I'm excited about my trip but hearing you I'm excited for you too! I know we do a lot of prep within our teams but we should get together a bunch of friends and pray for each other and impart regardless of where we're going.
