Hi Family and Friends!
I've only got a few minutes to spare and then I'm on my way to San Francisco where my team and I will fly out for our missions trip! As you can probably guess, I'm BEYOND EXCITED. My expectations for this trip are FAR greater than last year's, and God has been increasing my faith, and preparing me in MANY ways for what's to come in the next two weeks. He has been depositing so many prophetic promises in my heart for the nation of South Africa... and it makes me all the more eager to pour myself out into a land for which His love is so great.
I don't have the time to type out my entire itinerary in details but I can tell you that we'll be flying into Johannesburg, will be spending our first 6 days in Pretoria, and then the remainder of our time in Nelspruit. We have an incredibly packed schedule, with ministry in churches, on the streets, in the townships and slums, in one of the biggest malls on the planet, in training schools, in hospitals, and anywhere else God chooses to send us! :) It's such an amazing feeling to be sent out under Bethel's covering, knowing that the favor of God that rests upon our church will be going with us to usher in breakthrough and blessing to the nations! I have IMMENSELY high expectations for miracles like I've never seen before, to see God's love radically set people free, and for everyone we come in contact with to know Jesus Christ is the answer and the Lover of their soul.
If you would do me the honor, I would greatly appreciate your prayers between now and the 16th of April, not only for safety and grace as we travel but also as we step out in faith, taking risks like never before to advance the Kingdom of God! I'll be stepping out as a leader in a new capacity (I'm leading and coordinating everything we'll be doing in the arts) and I know that God's going to stretching me alot :). But I also feel that this week is going to be a convergence in many ways... I can feel it in my spirit even as I type that word. Convergence. Simply put, I just know that many different facets of my identity, calling, gifting, and destiny will be coming together on this trip, and I would be overjoyed if you would pray for an increased grace for breakthrough and transformation in and through my life. And more than anything, that AFRICA WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME!
I love you all more than I could ever say, and CAN'T WAIT to tell you all the wonderful works of the Lord when I return! It shall be an incredible bounty!
Love and blessings,
Melissa
